In cooperation with the Skytec AG, the computer science project Kommentierungsplattform is carried out by the ZIM represented by the Mobile and Distributed Systems Group (Prof. Linnhoff-Popien). Their work is accompanied by one chair of the departments of management science (Prof. Hess) and communication science (Prof. Brosius).
Within Kommentierungsplattform, a software system has to be developed that allows users to comment digital content like text, images, videos or web pages with respect to context-sensitive information like the user’s current time, location, surroundings etc. Objective is the creation of a prototype software system that will be developed to a level suitable for production. In particular a platform for commenting digital content is to be created. For this, the current scientific experiences in the area of User-Generated Content, Social Networks and context-sensitive information systems are analysed and enhanced. A prototypical implementation used in pilot projects with industrial cooperation partners helps to improve the software system.
The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) sponsors the project Kommentierungsplattform in the scope of “KMU-Innovationsoffensive Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologie (IKT)”.
